Instead, members will enjoy a new seamless rewards experience, earning STAR$® effortlessly when they transact via linked payment methods.
Members can earn STAR$® for their purchases made via the following linked payment methods:
New Payment Methods from July 2025
- Mastercard as CapitaStar’s preferred payment scheme partner: Members can link up to two Mastercard credit or debit cards on the CapitaStar app and earn STAR$® when they transact with these cards at participating stores.
- eCapitaVoucher: Members can earn STAR$® by using eCapitaVoucher or STAR$® to offset their payments without having to scan receipts.
Existing Payment Methods to Earn STAR$® without scanning receipts
- DBS/POSB Payment Mode: Members can continue to earn STAR$® by linking their CapitaStar account on DBS PayLah! before making a transaction with any DBS/POSB payment methods. In addition, from July 2025, DBS/POSB Mastercard cardholders will enjoy 2X STAR$® when using their linked cards.
- ShopBack Pay: Members who link their CapitaStar account on ShopBack can continue to earn STAR$® when transacting with ShopBack Pay.
Yes, you can still scan your receipts now to earn your STAR$®.
Scanning of receipts to earn STAR$® will only be discontinued from July 2025.
From July 2025, members can only earn STAR$® only via the following linked payment methods:
- Linking Mastercard credit or debit card on the CapitaStar App
Members can earn STAR$® seamlessly at the point of payment when they link their Mastercard credit or debit card on the CapitaStar app and transact with their linked card at participating stores.
- Linking CapitStar account to DBS PayLah! and paying with any DBS/POSB Payment modes (including DBS PayLah!, DBS/POSB VISA or American Express cards)
Members can earn STAR$® seamlessly at the point of payment when they link their CapitaStar account to DBS PayLah! and transact with any DBS/POSB payment modes including DBS PayLah! and issued DBS/POSB VISA or American Express cards.
- Linking CapitaStar account to ShopBack and pay with ShopBack Pay at participating merchants
Members can earn STAR$® seamlessly at the point of payment they link their CapitaStar account to ShopBack and transact with ShopBack Pay by scanning the ShopBack QR at participating merchants.
- Paying with eCapitaVoucher
Shoppers can also earn STAR$® seamlessly when they pay with eCapitaVoucher without having to scan receipts.
The CapitaStar rewards programme will be collaborating with Mastercard to become CapitaStar’s preferred payment scheme partner, providing members with even greater rewards and benefits. From July 2025, as the programme discontinues the scanning of receipts, members can earn STAR$® seamlessly when transacting with their linked Mastercard Credit or Debit cards on the CapitaStar app.
Besides the introduction of a new way to earn STAR$® seamlessly with Mastercard, members can also look forward to exclusive Mastercard spend, eCapitaVoucher purchase and card acquisition campaigns from 2Q 2025, as part of CapitaStar’s collaboration with Mastercard.

Earning of STAR$® with payment via eCapitaVoucher is only available from July 2025.
From now till June 2025, any payments made with eCapitaVoucher will still require you to scan your receipt to earn your STAR$®.

CapitaStar New Member Signup Promotion (“Promotion”)
Date: 1 January to 31 December 2025 (both dates inclusive) (“Promotion Period”)
Promotion:
- This Promotion is exclusive to new CapitaStar Members (referred to as “Eligible Shopper”) who download the CapitaStar Mobile App and sign up during the Promotion Period with a dedicated signup promotional code <CAPITASTAR> (“Promo Code”).
- Bonus $5 eCapitaVoucher (“Reward”) – to receive the Reward, Eligible Shoppers must enter the Promo Code at the point of signup on your CapitaStar Mobile App.
- Limited to a maximum of one (1) redemption of the prize per Eligible Shopper.
- The Reward will be credited directly into the Qualifying Eligible Shopper’s CapitaStar account upon successful signup.

General Terms and Conditions:
1. The Promotion is limited to the first 10,000 redemptions, on a first-come-first-served basis and redemption of the Prize is subject to availability of stocks.
2. Each Eligible Shopper is limited to receive a maximum of one (1) redemption of the Reward during the Promotion Period.
3. The Reward is provided as it is and cannot be exchanged for cash. The Reward shall be credited to the qualifying Eligible Shopper and is not transferable to any other shopper. By participating in this Promotion, the Eligible Shopper agrees that the Organiser, its affiliates, subsidiaries, agents, business partners, and respective officers and employees shall not be liable for any actions, claims, demands, injuries, proceedings, liability, losses, damages, costs, and expenses of any nature sustained by the participant directly or indirectly by reason of or in connection with this Promotion. 13. The Organiser’s decision on any dispute regarding the Promotion shall be final and no correspondence shall be entertained.
14. For the purposes of these Promotion Terms and Conditions, “Organiser” refers to CapitaLand Retail Management Pte Ltd.
15. This Promotion Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Singapore and the participant in this promotion irrevocably submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts to resolve any and all dispute.
